Pet Connection: Meet Mia
FARGO — Mia is a little mama who’s already done a lot of living and seen some pretty sad things in her short time on earth.
She was discovered having just given birth to a litter of kittens, under a trailer this winter in lakes country.
She tried to move them to safety, but in the process, it appears one of the babies was taken by a predator.
Rescue workers from Far North Felines scooped up Mia and her remaining kittens and brought them to safety, nursing them back to health.
Since Mia is only about a year or so old, that makes her, in effect, a teenage mom — not much more than a kid, herself.
All the kittens have been successfully adopted, and now, it’s Mia’s turn.
She’s got a sweet, calm disposition, and loves cat toys and playing with humans.
She’s very chatty, and enjoys the company of other cats, as well.
She’s made a huge turnaround from her shaky starts in life, and now that she’s spayed, vaccinated and chipped, she’s all ready for a fresh start with a furever family.
